Nalia Swim, a luxury swimwear brand from the United States, is expanding its business operations to Australia. The company’s headquarters will be set up in Sydney, and the founder, Nicole Shiraz, will become its CEO. Shiraz, an Australian entrepreneur, started the swimwear brand in 2021 during the pandemic as a hobby. Through her own influencer channels and celebrity connections, she has turned Nalia Swim into a huge success. The company has made over US$1.6 million in sales in its two years of operation, a 37% increase in revenue from 2021, and has over 80,000 followers on social media platforms.
“Ninety percent of our customers are currently from the US, but Australia is my home, and I am excited to be expanding Nalia Swim here,” said Shiraz. “Now that our garment production is set up in Bali and our headquarters are based in Sydney, this is the best time for us to dive in. We know Australian women will love Nalia Swim’s collections.”
Shiraz is passionate about ensuring that all women feel confident in swimwear regardless of body shape or age. Nalia Swim’s ethos is where sustainability meets understated luxury. “At Nalia Swim, we are committed to curating high quality products that cater to every body type – bringing affordable luxury to all while creating an engaging community along the way. Our collections are high-quality, eco-friendly, stylish and affordable,” said Shiraz.
Nalia Swim has been available online and on display at some of America’s most popular fashion stores since 2021, the latest being New York’s Flying Solo and online retail store Wolf & Badger. According to Shiraz, there is a buzz of interest in Nalia Swim from Australian stockists and retail stores.
To ensure that the launch of its 2023 Spring/Summer collection makes a splash, Shiraz has partnered with celebrity influencer, Gallienne Nabilla, who has 1.2 million Instagram followers and 1.3 million on TikTok. The collection will be launched in both the US and Australia this April.
“Nalia Swim’s expansion to Australia is a huge milestone for us, and we are excited to be part of the Australian fashion landscape,” said Shiraz. “We hope to bring our commitment to sustainability and inclusive swimwear to Australian customers and look forward to growing our brand in this new market.”
