The Brunswick Picture House in Brunswick Heads, NSW, will host the winter season of its dedicated burlesque production, Bruns Does Winter Burlesque, running across three weekends from 2 to 19 July.
The show, which has grown out of the venue’s long-running Cheeky Cabaret, brings together a lineup of Australian burlesque and boylesque performers for a 90-minute program with a 20-minute intermission.
Hosting duties fall to comedian and entertainer Bob Downe, known for his signature “Prince of Polyester” persona.
A returning production with a new cast
Bruns Does Burlesque has become one of the Picture House’s more frequently returning productions. The winter 2026 season features a new cast of performers drawn from across the Australian burlesque scene.
The show is restricted to audiences aged 15 and over.
Show dates and times
The season spans 12 performances across three weeks. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7pm, while Sunday performances start at 6pm.
The opening night on Thursday 2 July is designated as a preview performance, with reduced ticket pricing.
Doors open approximately 15 minutes before showtime, with Housemate members admitted first before the remaining audience.

Ticket pricing
The preview performance on Thursday 2 July carries its own pricing structure. Posh Seats for the preview are $75, Hurly Burly Seats are $50 and Group Fun tickets for groups of six or more are $44. All prices are subject to booking fees.
For all remaining performances from Friday 3 July through to Sunday 19 July, several ticket tiers are available.
Posh Seats are priced at $85 and include reserved cabaret table seating for four. Hurly Burly tickets are $60 and offer general unallocated theatre-style seating on a first-come basis. Group Fun tickets for parties of six or more are $54 per person.
High Top Stools, positioned along the side walls, are available in limited numbers at $50. Voyeur standing tickets are $30.
All ticket prices are subject to booking fees applied at checkout.
Membership and concession discounts
Housemate members can access discounted pricing on Posh and Hurly Burly tickets, with a valid paid membership required. The venue’s membership program currently has more than 2,000 members. Those interested in joining can find details on the Housemates membership page.

Booking information
Tickets can be purchased through Eventfinda. Once a purchase is confirmed, tickets are typically emailed within 10 minutes. The venue advises buyers to check junk mail and spam folders if tickets do not arrive promptly.
Purchased tickets can be transferred subject to availability, but refunds are not offered.
The venue has also issued a reminder that the Brunswick Picture House is located in Brunswick Heads in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, not in Brunswick, Victoria. No refunds or credits will be granted for ticket purchases made in error regarding the venue location.
