Melbourne-based alternative culture publication Demasque Magazine has outlined its winter 2026 programming, with a multi-act dance and play party, ongoing fetish life drawing sessions and the release of its 31st print issue.
The publication, which covers kink and alternative subculture content, is running its bi-annual Sinergy event alongside a continuing monthly Erotic Art Club series in Melbourne’s inner north.
Sinergy Returns To Northcote
Demasque’s Sinergy event is scheduled for Saturday 25 July at 24 Moons, a venue at 2 Arthurton Road in Northcote.
The event runs from 8pm to 2am and is billed as a “hedonistic dance and play party,” combining live performances, DJ sets and a supervised kink play space.
The entertainment lineup includes performers Elle Diablo, Lucian Blake and Blissful Bindings, alongside DJs Moxxy, Xanthraxxx and Syme Tollens.
Tickets are priced at $45 and are available only online. The event is restricted to attendees aged 18 and over, with valid photo identification required at the door. Accepted forms of ID include driver’s licences, proof of age cards, Keypass cards and passports.
Venue Layout And Play Spaces
The event will span three areas within 24 Moons: the Kepler’s Yard bar space, the main dance hall and a mezzanine level.
The mezzanine will be converted into a kink play space by M&M Showroom, who will provide BDSM furniture pieces including rope frames, spanking benches and massage tables. Attendees may bring their own equipment and toys, with antiseptic wipes provided for cleaning shared furniture.
Dungeon monitors will be present throughout the venue to oversee play areas and address any concerns.
Full nudity is permitted during play scenes, though underwear and shoes must be worn at all other times. The organisers have stipulated that intentional blood play and sharps play are not permitted.
Consent And Safety Protocols
The event’s organisers have outlined a detailed consent framework, referencing three established kink community principles: Safe, Sane, Consensual (S.S.C); Risk Aware Consensual Kink (R.A.C.K); and Personal Responsibility, Informed, Consensual Kink (P.R.I.C.K).
“Consent is paramount,” the event listing states. “Do not touch any person without their explicit consent. Consent must be enthusiastic and freely given. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.”
Attendees found to have engaged in aggressive, coercive or disrespectful behaviour face ejection from the venue without a refund. The organisers have specified that racism, homophobia, transphobia, body-shaming, kink-shaming, unsolicited leering, following and other forms of harassment will not be tolerated.
“Support us in supporting you by flagging any of these negative behaviours that either you experience yourself or witness amongst the crowd to a Dungeon Monitor or venue staff member,” the organisers added.
Dress Code And Practicalities
The event enforces an erotic and fetish-inspired dress code. Suggested attire includes leather, latex, PVC, lingerie, goth and alternative styles, drag, fur, suits, uniforms, zentai, petplay and burlesque outfits.
Casual clothing such as jeans, sneakers and streetwear is not permitted.
The venue does not have a dedicated changing room. Cloaking is available at $5 per item, managed by the venue. Attendees bringing personal bags not intended for play equipment are advised to keep them to A4 size or smaller.
Accessibility And Transport
The organisers have noted that 24 Moons is not wheelchair-friendly, as the main event space and mezzanine both require flights of stairs to access. Door staff and security are available to assist mobility aid users who wish to attend.
The venue is a one-minute walk from the High Street/Arthurton Road tram stop on Route 86 and a three-minute walk from Northcote Train Station on the Mernda Line. Public car parking is available opposite the venue and at Northcote Shopping Centre, roughly a four to five-minute walk away.
House photographers will be operating during the event. Attendees may request to have their photo taken or request to be excluded from crowd and performance shots. Personal photography and videography of play areas is prohibited, though personal photography of one’s own play is allowed. Selfies require the consent of everyone in frame.
Refund requests for tickets are accepted until midnight on 19 July. Requests made after that date will not be honoured, though ticket holders may resell their tickets independently.
Erotic Art Club Continues Monthly Sessions
Separately, Demasque’s Erotic Art Club is continuing its monthly fetish life drawing sessions throughout 2026.
The sessions are held on the first Wednesday evening of each month at XI XI Studio, located at Rear 425/427 Brunswick Street in Fitzroy.
The next scheduled session is on Wednesday 5 August, with doors opening at 7pm and poses commencing at 7.15pm. The session runs until 9.30pm.
Models for the August session are Sai Jaiden Lillith and Eve X. The sessions welcome artists of all skill levels.
Remaining 2026 dates include 2 September, 7 October and 4 November. No sessions were held in February or March.
Issue 31 Now In Circulation
Demasque Magazine’s 31st issue, covering the period of June through August 2026, is now available in both print and digital formats.
The issue’s cover artwork series features model Jemma Joy, photographed by hoshiato. The 44-page issue contains kink-related content covering local, interstate and international updates.
