International Burlesque Performer and Educator Evana De Lune has launched EDL Studios, an online subscription platform designed to deliver burlesque workshops to students regardless of their geographic location.
The platform offers on-demand video streaming of technique classes, full choreographies, conditioning workouts and costuming tutorials, alongside live Q&A sessions and guest masterclasses from international artists.
A Decade Of Teaching Goes Digital
De Lune, who is the Founder of EDL Studios, has spent more than a decade teaching dance and close to five years running independent burlesque workshops. During that time, she has taught more than 10,000 students across multiple continents and countries.
“Every single time I travel, I’m left in awe of this community,” De Lune explained. “But I’m also constantly hearing from so many of you who travel hours just to catch a single class, or who live in rural and remote areas where burlesque workshops simply don’t happen.”
The challenge of reaching students in underserved areas was a key driver behind the platform’s creation.
“I physically can’t be everywhere at once. My heart and passion belong to burlesque education, and I wanted to create a space where distance is never a barrier to learning this artform,” she added.
How The Platform Works
EDL Studios operates as a subscription-based streaming service. Members gain access to a library of video content available around the clock on desktop, tablet and phone devices.
The platform includes interactive player controls that allow users to slow down, pause and replay choreography steps. Lesson lengths vary from short 10-minute technique drills through to full-length choreography sessions.
Content is organised into structured learning tracks, allowing students to progress from foundational warmups and drills through to advanced prop work and full performance pieces.
Monthly content drops are scheduled to keep the library expanding, covering new choreographies, technique deep-dives and tutorials. Live Q&A sessions give subscribers the opportunity to receive direct feedback and ask questions in real time.
Upcoming Content Pipeline
The platform has launched with several hours of content already uploaded, with further material in post-production and additional sessions yet to be filmed.
Planned content drops include stocking peels, corset work and chair dance technique modules. Creative and costuming content covering costuming fundamentals and rhinestoning tutorials is also in development.
Dance and fitness offerings will expand to include additional warmups, conditioning routines and step-by-step full routines.
De Lune indicated she is in discussions with international guest artists to contribute masterclass content to the platform.
“My goal is for EDL Studios to become the community hub for burlesque education – blending dance, theory, history, costuming and culture under one inclusive roof,” she outlined.
Pricing And Subscription Options
The platform offers two subscription tiers, with pricing available in multiple currencies including USD, AUD, GBP, EUR, CAD and NZD.
The monthly plan is priced at a standard rate of $30 USD per month, while the annual plan carries a standard rate of $300 USD per year.
An introductory VIP pricing window is available to early subscribers, offering a monthly rate of $24 USD per month and an annual rate of $199 USD per year. The annual VIP rate works out to roughly $17 per month, representing a saving of more than 30 per cent compared to the monthly option.
VIP pricing is locked in for the duration of a subscriber’s membership, though the discounted rate is forfeited if a subscription lapses and is later renewed.
Both plans include access to the full video library, new monthly content drops, live Q&A sessions and guest masterclasses.
Targeting An Underserved Market
The launch of EDL Studios reflects a broader trend of specialist performing arts education moving to digital delivery models. For burlesque, a niche art form with limited availability of structured classes outside major metropolitan centres, the shift to online access addresses a gap that in-person workshops have struggled to fill.
De Lune positioned the platform as being designed for all body types, skill levels and schedules, with content accessible from the privacy of a student’s own home.
