The West End production of Hadestown has released more than 140,000 additional tickets, extending bookings at the Lyric Theatre in London through to June 2027.
The musical, now in its third year at the venue, has made the new block of tickets available for performances from 17 December 2026 to 27 June 2027, including a confirmed festive season schedule. Tickets can be purchased through uk.hadestown.com.
The show
Hadestown intertwines two love stories drawn from Greek mythology: that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. The musical blends American songwriting traditions spanning indie folk, pop, blues and New Orleans-inspired jazz.
The show has music, lyrics and book by Tony and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winner, Anais Mitchell, who originated Hadestown as an indie theatre project and album before developing it into a stage musical alongside Tony Award-winning Director, Rachel Chavkin.
Current cast
The London cast includes Rachel Adedeji as Persephone, Bethany Antonia as Eurydice, Marley Fenton as Orpheus, Alastair Parker as Hades and Clive Rowe as Hermes.
Melanie Bright, Spike Maxwell and Lauran Rae play the Fates. Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Gabriela Benedetti, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet play the Workers. Juan Jackson, Oisin Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, Jasmine Triadi and Milly Willows round out the company as Swings.
V&A performance
The production also released clips and photography from a performance at the V&A South Kensington last month. Cast and musicians performed a selection of songs from the show in the museum’s Medieval and Renaissance Gallery, surrounded by sculptural depictions of figures from Greek mythology, as part of the V&A’s Performance Festival, which this year was themed “Echoes.”

The creative team includes David Neumann (Choreography), Rachel Hauck (Scenic Design), Michael Krass (Costume Design), Bradley King (Lighting Design), Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz (Sound Design), Liam Robinson (Music Supervision and Vocal Arrangements), Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose (Arrangements and Orchestrations) and Ken Cerniglia (Dramaturgy).
Jennifer Mullins handles Wigs and Hair Design, with Tarek Merchant as Co-Musical Director and Associate Music Supervisor, George Francis as Co-Musical Director, Maria Crocker as UK Associate Director, Bobby Windebank as Associate Choreographer and Victoria Gimby as Resident Director. Casting is by Jacob Sparrow, with Principal Casting by Rob Kelly.
Hadestown is produced in London by Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy and the National Theatre in association with JAS Theatricals.
